Beginner Sashiko - Holt Village Hall WHO IS THIS WORKSHOP FOR? All abilities are welcome from age 18 upwards, just bring lots of enthusiasm. WHAT WILL THE WORKSHOP COVER? This introduction into the art of sashiko stitching will give you the tools to create creative patterns on fabric. + How to hand sew traditional Japanese sashiko patterns onto fabrics + How to use layers of fabric to create a repair patch for cloth WHAT YOU SHOULD BRING: We provide all materials to complete the class but if you have a particular fabric or paper you wish to print please bring it with you. WORKSHOP EXTRAS INCLUDE: The supportive, friendly and knowledgeable tutor goes without saying but also available will be: + An ironing board station. + Hot drinks and a sweet treat to keep you going throughout the day.
